How to get more upvotes on Reddit
There's no trick that works every time, but a few habits make a real difference. Most of them come down to helping the right people see your post early.
1. Pick the right subreddit
The biggest subreddit isn't always the best one. Look for a community where your topic clearly belongs and where posts like yours do well. Read its rules before you post.
2. Write a specific title
Your title does most of the work. Be specific, say what's in the post, and skip the clickbait. "I tracked every expense for a year, here's what surprised me" beats "My thoughts on budgeting".
3. Give value in the post itself
Posts that make people leave Reddit tend to do worse than posts that answer the question right there. If you have a link, add a useful summary so the post stands on its own.
4. Post when people are around
Your post needs readers in its first hour, so timing matters. Check when the top posts in your subreddit went up, and post shortly before that.
5. Stay and reply
Answer the first comments quickly. It starts a conversation, gives people a reason to come back, and shows you're a person and not a marketer.
6. Build some history first
Many subreddits filter new or low-karma accounts. Spend time commenting and helping in the communities you care about before you post your own work.
7. Get early engagement
Reddit's feeds favor posts that pick up activity soon after they go up, so the first few minutes matter most. This is the part Upvoterr helps with. We share your post with Redditors matched to its topic soon after you order, and they decide for themselves how to respond. Results aren't guaranteed. Reddit prohibits vote manipulation, so read its rules and our Terms first.
